Shailendra Kumar
Executive Director

Shailendra Kumar is a senior business executive with experience in outsourcing, product development and start up management. He is the Executive Director for Center for Sustainable Global Sourcing.  Prior to that, he was the Senior Director at GMAC Financial Services responsible for Business Process Outsourcing and Offshoring.  He was responsible for establishing GMAC’s strategy, identifying opportunities for O&O within different business units and then transitioning that work to onshore or offshore vendors.   Prior to this role, he was Director of Offshoring and Outsourcing at Hewlett Packard Company.  During this time he started an HP owned offshore center in India and grew it to 650 FTEs (full time equivalent). He also managed a pool of offshore vendors who provided another 2000 FTE for HP projects. Prior to that, he was director of R&D at HP.  Shailendra has more than 15 years experience in software development and engineering management.

Shailendra brings a unique blend of expertise both as a client manager who managed strategy and implementation of offshoring and outsourcing initiative for a $27B business group within Hewlett Packard Company and also as a hands-on manager who started and managed a large offshore center in India between 2005 and 2007. 

Shailendra has an MBA from Columbia Business School and an undergraduate degree in engineering from Indian Institute of Technology.

René M. Naert, MBA, Ph.D.

René M. Naert, MBA, Ph.D. is a member of the Advisory Boards of Total Recall Learning, and SecureNetView, Inc. He has over thirty years of higher education program development, delivery and administrative experience, which includes the co-ownership and management of Nordstrom Business Colleges in San Diego, California.  René was a member of the engineering team that designed the proprietary, award winning KinderView Internet Viewing Systems, which has eleven patents pending in the technical realm of secure Internet digital image capture, compression, transmission, display, archiving, and retrieval algorithms and processes.   As a partner with the Software Engineering Institute (SEI), Alliant International University was the proud Mentor-Protégé partner recipient of the Nunn-Perry Award, 2005 under the co-direction of Rene Naert.  He is an Associate Professor of Information Systems at Alliant International University in San Diego, California.

Chuck Benvenuti is a marketing and sales executive with over 20 years of experience in management, sales, finance, product development, marketing and business development.  He has successfully implemented offshore and onshore business models for companies such as Verizon and Unisys as well as start-ups.  His expertise is in selling complex IT services and solutions to Global Fortune 1000 companies, His clients have included: UPS, AIG, Aetna, ING, PepsiCo, AT&T, Comcast, Verizon, Pfizer, Goldman Sachs, Pitney Bowes, Citicorp, General Electric and Federal Express.  Chuck has completed a Sales/Marketing Management Executive Program from Columbia Business School and an MBA in Finance/Marketing from Long Island University.

Rachna Kumar, Ph.D.

Rachna Kumar, Ph.D. specializes in remote and virtual team management, software productivity measures, transfer of information systems skills in bi-national contexts, computer mediated technology environments, and online education.
